Payment Information
Dear Valued Patients and Referring Providers,
After 38 years of service in my physical therapy practice, I have decided to refocus my efforts on providing the highest quality of patient care and education. In order to reduce the administrative demands associated with insurance processing, effective January 1, 2025, I will no longer be in network with any insurance payor.
However, for your convenience with some insurance companies, I will be able to submit claims on your behalf as an out of network provider or I can provide you with the necessary documentation to submit claims to your insurance yourself. Please consult your insurance company for guidance on how to proceed with these submissions.
Thank you for your understanding and continued trust in my practice.
Sincerely,
Judy Abel, PT
Please Note: Unfortunately, due to Medicare rules, we are not able to accept self pay from patients with Medicare and Medicare Replacement (MedAdvantage) plans at this time.
Benefits To Self Pay
Cash pay physical therapy (PT), also known as self-pay or out-of-pocket PT, offers several benefits for patients, including:
1.No Insurance Limitations: Enjoy a personalized and comprehensive treatment plan without
restrictions on visits or services.
2. Direct Access to Care: Begin treatment promptly without the need for referrals or pre-
authorizations, reducing delays in your recovery.
3. More Time with the Therapist: Benefit from longer, one-on-one sessions with me, Judy Abel,
PT. I offer full 60-minute visits (most clinics provide only 30-45 minutes), and with over 38 years of
experience, you’ll always receive care directly from me—not an aide or assistant.
4. Individualized Treatment: Receive a fully customized plan without the constraints of
insurance guidelines, ensuring care tailored specifically to your needs.
5. Transparent Costs: Since there’s no middleman, patients know exactly what they’re paying
for and may avoid surprise bills or hidden fees often associated with insurance.
6. Focus on Quality over Quantity: Without the pressure (and limitations) of insurance
reimbursement rates, I (Judy Abel, PT) can focus on providing high
quality care, optimizing treatments for effectiveness rather than quantity.
7. Fewer Administrative Hassles: Experience a streamlined and stress-free process without
dealing with complex paperwork, claims, or insurance approvals.
8. Potential Cost Savings: For those with high deductibles or limited PT coverage, paying cash
may be more cost-effective than using insurance. These benefits lead to a more flexible,
personalized, and efficient care experience for you.
